I've been using Ilford's warm tone fiber paper since it was first introduced. I like the paper very much, especially when toned in Kodak selenium toner. While most of my prints have turned out exactly as I've wanted, I have encountered some problems. An examination of a dried print shows a greenish tint in certain isolated areas. I hestitate to use the term "spotting" because this is not accurate. But the greenish tint usually appears in the mid tones. I am interested to know if anyone has encountered this problem. Even better, I would be grateful for an explanation as to the cause of the problem.

I've noticed a greenish undertone in the highlights of Ilford Warmtone prints toned in selenium, but never in the mid tones. Make sure the toner is fresh and that you're toning to completion. Treat in Kodak Hypo Clearing Agent for few minutes before toning, then wash for a couple of minutes more. Your problem sounds like staining of some sort.
