I have a problem with a member disrepecting my mother at church I wanted to address this issue with the person but my mother asked me not to what should I do?

Obey your mother by all means. You will have a long and fruitful life if you do that (this is the only commandant with promise.) No one can disrespect another. They can say disrespectful things about her; they can even do disrepectful things to her; but I believe your mother gaets more respect from God and man be not allowing you to respond in kind. God bless you and your sweet mother. We need more like her today.

Certainly, the only choice is to honor Mom's request. I wonder though, does the brother's behavior bother her? If so, pray for, and encourage her to deal with him however the Holy Ghost leads. No need for ill feelings ,anger, and strife to fester in her soul and hinder her prayers
