Bob, maybe you can help me with this. I live in the Washington D.C. area, and my friend told me about this museum in Virginia that is completely about the Titanic. She heard about it in the news, but she doesn't know where in Virginia it is. She said that when you go in they give you a Titanic ticket with the name of one of the real passengers on the ship. You tour the museum, which has real Titanic things, and, in addition, she said that James Cameron had donated chairs and other things from the movie. I think she also said that it had outfits from the movie, but I'm not sure. After you finish touring, there is this book with the names of all the passengers on the Titanic. There you look up the name of the person that you got on your ticket and you find out what happened to them. Have you heard about this museum? If anyone finds anything, please post it here. I would greatly appreciate it. I would love to visit this museum, it sounds very interesting. Thanks!

Well, this is the first I've heard of that kind of museum for Titanic but it sounds a lot like the Holocaust Museum in Washington. I'd love to go to either them so let me know if you find out anything else:)

The Mariners Museum in Newport News, Virginia is hosting an exhibit called "Titanic: Fortune & Fate" through September 7, 1998. Rare artifacts, personal effects, memorabilia, and "Titanic" movie memorabilia are on display. For more information, check out their website at http://www.mariner.org/. WOW!!!! That site is wonderful!!! Check out the special events page there. June 20th they are haveing a "real party" with irish music and third class food. There is a fee but it didn't say what it was. Shounds like fun and if I only lived a bit closer I think I'd probably go....
