I was surprised to see Dr. Bombay cast as the Colonel. (I can't remember his real name, but he played Dr. Bombay on Bewitched, a tv sitcom from the 60's.) I haven't seen him anywhere in years. He did a wonderful job with the small part. Does anyone know the scoop about how Cameron chose him?

Candace:The gentleman you're referring to (I believe) is actor Bernard Fox, who portrayed Colonel Archibald Gracie in the film. As I've mentioned in an earlier post, I think he was miscast; Mr. Fox plays the role as a Brit, while the good Colonel was in fact an American (West Pointer, as a matter of fact).
Cheers

I love that guy in Bewitched, but perhaps he was miscast as Col. Gracie as he is such a what-ho Brit! I kept expecting him do wave his hands and conjure up a quick fix! (Just kidding)I was also surprised to see Victor Newman from Y&R as JJ Astor.

Kip and Lianne- Thanks for pointing out that Gracie was American; I'd forgotten. I wonder why Cameron allowed him to portray Gracie as British?
