What is the best way to mount a fiber (dw) print on rag board without dry-mounting. The print has to lie flat inside the frame, not touching the glass. I would dry mount except the archival (acid free) tissue is a little bit too expensive for me.

Well, if the prints are not very large: 8x10 or maybe 11x14 you can corner the prints to the back board. I would still reccomend dry mounting, the "archival" tissue is not needed for a safe drymount. The archival tissue is considered archival because it is removable, not because it is any safer than the other tissues available. I use and most of the people I know use the colormount tissue which also cost 30% less than the archival. At 75 cents a sheet for a 16x20 or 20 cents a sheet for 8x10 I don't think that is that costly. Drymounting takes practice but it is time well spent.
