Messages can also be typed in email programs or word processors and copied
and pasted into the text box used for submitting questions and answers.
Also... Be sure to select a category for your thread from the
pulldown menu in the text entry area. If you don't see a category that
seems to fit, leave it set to "Don't know," post it, and find the thread that
says "What would make good categories for this forum?"
(under the "Forum Mechanics" category), and suggest a new one.
And, if you wind up feeling you'd like more help with the
general mechanics of navigating and participating in this forum,
coming back here to the "About" page, and clicking the link below will
take you to a set of online instructions that will
show you the basics quickly...
Enjoy yourself, be nice, and remember: The main topic here is what
(and how) to
do about this mess.

Welcome to the New Millennium Salons forum.
The basics of this software work like this:
, simply click on whichever
topic on the list interests you.
How this System Works
This bboard software was written by Philip Greenspun and hosted for free by him started in 1995.
Anyone could come in and create a forum and moderate the discussion. Most of the thousands of
forums on this server were and are publicly searchable by Google and other Web indices.
